Mr A.K. Joardar was born on 29th of November 1919 in Bengal, India.
He came to the shores of Malaya in December 1946. With a background in hotel industry he continued to work in a hotel situated in Cameron Highlands. He married Umarani Chaudhary, a local Bengali from Seremban.
He started playing golf in 1947 with the then colonial members of the club in Cameron Highlands.
